On How Not To Leave $18,000 on the Table Like I Did That One Time...

If you saw me on the street, you wouldn’t think I was anyone special.

And I’m not.

Not really.

In fact, my story is eerily similar to yours, I imagine.

It’s filled with a series of moments lived. Some beautiful, some that could bring you to your knees.

It’s filled with decisions made. Some selfless, some horribly selfish. Some that were well thought out. But most are not.

Impulsive.

It's a word that has been used to describe me many times.
I call it following my intuition.

One gut feeling I've had in particular, though, really stands out.

I was working a $45,000 per year job in a windowless cubicle as someone warmed up salmon in the company microwave, not twenty feet from where I sat.

I needed out.

But I had no PTO.

And corporate companies tend to frown on workers taking more than their allotted days of vacation.

*Quit* my gut whispered.

And unlike a lot of people that get this exact same feeling?

…I quit. That same week.

I was 25.

No job offers.

No interviews.

No plans.

And a shit-ton of bills that needed to be paid. My student loan payment was looming—and that alone was $1400.

Six months living expenses saved for an emergency?

HA!

Hell, I had exactly $51 to tide me over until I figured out how to make some money.

Crazy?

Yes.

The epitome of my bad decision-making?

Sadly, no. But that’s a story for another day.

Over a single weekend, I decided to not return to the workplace. Instead, I'd sell my writing and marketing services directly to companies as a freelancer. So putting myself right to work, I learned how to build a website, create service offerings, and come up with proposals.

I made cold calls, sent cold emails, and went on cold visits.

Trading nights out with friends for learning the latest copy trends.

Cooking in three times a day for months to save money and afford bills.

Skipping sleep in exchange for an all-nighter dedicated to creating the exact right copy for a sales page…

…that would take a tiny start-up in Silicone Valley from $0 to just over $5,000,000 in two years.

And that’s when my business turned a corner.

I doubled my pay to myself.

Began working with a coach.

Who shifted my mindset around my business and helped me sail to earning six-figures.

Hired help—copy intern, design intern, virtual assistant.

But I’m not telling you any of this to brag.

I’m telling you this because—as I said earlier—I’m no one special.

The decisions I made to get to where I am are the exact same decisions anyone could have made.

The work I put into building my business is the same amount of work anyone could have put into building a business.

The knowledge I’ve gained is the same knowledge accessible to anyone with an internet connection and a desire to learn.

Moreover, I believe you can get to this place with your business idea, too.

And the single most important skill I’ve honed as a business owner?

The skill that pays for itself again and again and again?

Is conversion copywriting.

If you are running a business, you need to make your words on your sales pages work for you. Period.

Which is what conversion copywriting does.

It’s 50% art, 50% scientific formula, and it grows your bank account like nothing else.

Industry-standard sales page conversion rates sit at about 5%.

My sales page conversion rates for clients? Average 73%.

Which is exactly why I’ve decided to do something I have never done before: Host a LIVE workshop all about conversion copy!

Money Copy is going to be a 2.5-hour workshop dedicated to teaching small business owners how to write sales pages that CONVERT. We'll cover:

- The trick to structuring your words in a way that’ll spark the interest of that lazy S.O.B. also known as the human brain

- The incredible truth about headlines—and how to create ones that are better than anyone else’s

- The single most offensive word you’re using in all your copy—and how to get rid of it

- How to bring your copy into the present—and keep their eyeballs hooked on every word.

- How to cut your writing time in half—while doubling your conversion rates

Can’t make the whole thing? Sign up and you’ll be emailed an on-demand link once the LIVE event has wrapped.

Bottom line? You will be capable of making more money as a direct result of joining me for this conversion copywriting workshop.

Because like I said—you’re no different from me.

Except you don’t have to take the hard route, honing your copywriting skills over a span of years until you stumble into a formula that just…works.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced business owner

And

You’re writing your own website copy

You do NOT want to miss this workshop!

Not a small business owner, but interested in helping to spread the word? I'm offering kickbacks for each individual sign up that comes from you! PM me to learn more.
